Kaitlin Cartwright
Kaitlin graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Environmental Management & Protection. During her time at Cal Poly, she worked as a research assistant for Team Ellie, the first group to formally study the Northern Elephant Seal population at Piedras Blancas. She also volunteered for the SLO Land Conservancy as an associate board member, where she provided input on programs and projects. Kaitlin formerly worked as a naturalist for the Pacific Whale Foundation in Maui, helping educate boat passengers about marine life and the greater Maui area, and Camp KEEP (Kern Environmental Education Program) in SLO, leading outdoor education programs in intertidal zones, oak woodlands, and estuaries and mudflats. Kaitlin is committed to conservation and is excited to contribute to the Oceano Dunes restoration project.
In her free time, she enjoys running and exploring new trails, paddle boarding in Morro Bay, and spending time with friends and family.
