Shannon is a part of the California Conservation Corps Watershed Stewards Program in partnership with AmeriCorps. One of her site partners at Steelhead Initiative is the RCD. She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a concentration of conservation science and policy from UC Santa Cruz. While in college, Shannon interned at different programs related to conservation of terrestrial as well as marine mammals, and she is excited to shift her focus toward freshwater conservation. She is pleased to be involved with RCD's restoration projects and to learn more about steelhead trout. Shannon loves being outside, whether that's the beach, mountains or forest, and she loves going on long hikes.
